Associate Attorney Ray Curtis

Attorney Curtis has actively represented those charged with criminal offenses throughout his career all over North Florida, from the Panhandle to Daytona Beach down to Gainesville. Before joining the Musca Law Firm, he worked as an Assistant Public Defender for the 3rd Judicial Circuit with a caseload of over 1200 clients annually as well as with a private firm handling all manner of criminal defense matters. Attorney Curtis has extensive trial experience having been lead counsel at many trials ranging a variety of criminal offenses in Circuit Court, County Court, and Juvenile Circuit Court. He has obtained many favorable results for his clients, including low bond amounts, dismissal of charges based on a variety of technical motions, revocation of warrants, and not guilty verdicts.

Attorney Curtis began his legal career in criminal law and has continued to practice in the criminal field ever since.  He interned with the Third Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office during law school where he helped prosecute various offenses and try cases.  He later graduated from the Florida Coastal School of Law and began defending the criminally accused with the Public Defender’s Office. As an intern with the State Attorney’s Office, he helped prosecute various offenses and was lead counsel in an Aggravated Assault and Battery trial.
