Cape Coral Realtor in Jail for Custodial Sexual Battery
September 6, 2018
As reported by NBC-2: 64-year-old Matthew Roach was arrested this Thursday on charges of custodial sexual battery (meaning he had custody of his victim during the time of the abuse). According to the victim of the incident, Roach had been abusing her from the age of three all the way until she was 15-years-old. She also stated that Roach would perform sexual acts on her while recording them several times every week during the entire 12-year period of abuse. So far she is the only victim that has come forward. And, a professional who works closely with the victim is quoted as saying that it would be "extremely unusual if Roach only had one victim, as these types of cases rarely happen in isolation." Roach is currently being held at the Lee County Jail on a $80,0000 bond.
