Fort Myers, FL (May 9, 2019) – Police have confirmed that they are still working on their investigation into a man who has been arrested for child pornography in Fort Myers.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested the 59-year-old, identified as Douglas Heacock, this past week on 20 counts of possession of child pornography.
Heacock was confirmed to live at 7206 Cypress Drive in Unit 33, which is within walking distance of two schools – the Crestwell School and Villas Elementary School. There are also many other areas where children gather in the area, such as a Bounce Party plaza and children’s shopping stores, according to authorities.
This is Heacock’s first arrest and he is not currently registered as a sexual offender.
The investigation continues at this time.
