Lady Lake, FL – Argument Over Mother-in-Law’s Funeral Leads to Arrest

Lady Lake, FL (November 12, 2018) – One woman was arrested following an argument over a mother-in-law’s funeral. Lady Lake Police were called to the scene early in the morning to Room 111 where they found 53-year-old Dena Farrell of Ocala. She had allegedly been arguing with her husband over her mother’s funeral for the following morning.

Farrell’s husband told police that his wife threw a plastic flashlight at him, which struck him in the elbow. The argument took place over certain family members who would be attending the funeral. The arresting officer said that Farrell did not get along with her mother-in-law and was easily agitated that night.

Farrell was arrested on battery charges and booked at the Lake County Jail, but has since been released.
