Lee County, FL (November 14, 2018) – Police have reported that a Cape Coral teenager is now facing several felony charges after a burglary that involved breaking into several vehicles and stealing two guns.

The teen was identified as 15-year-old Zachary Busenbark, who broke into a home just a few days ago stole a revolver. Officers were responding to that call when they received several other reports of vehicles being burglarized in the parking lot of a nearby Hooters restaurant. A total of four vehicles were broken into, one of which had a handgun stolen out of it.

When police arrived at the scene, they were able to find Busenbark hiding in some bushes. He took off running, but police were able to catch up to him and arrest him for his crimes. Both guns were found and returning to their rightful owners.

Now, Busenbark is facing several felony charges of armed burglary, grand theft of a firearm, vehicle burglary, and resisting a law enforcement officer. Police say that, last month, he was also arrested twice in two days for various crimes.
