Police found that 63-year-old Denise Marie Weitan and a man had gotten into an argument. They found that Weiten was heavily intoxicated and was involved in an argument with the man for keeping her golf cart longer than intended. Allegedly, Weitan used her hands to push him and he pushed her back. She retaliated by slapping the unidentified man.
The deputy claimed that it was difficult to take Weitan’s statement because she became increasingly angry when he was trying to make a report. A witness claimed that they had watched her slap the man. Weitan was charged with battery and booked in jail, but was released after posting a $250 bond.
