48-year-old Marc Michael Mamert originally went to the emergency room and told staff that he thought he did something bad and told them that he might have killed his family. He claimed that his prescription medication made him do it.
Authorities arrived at the home on Southwest 104th Street and found the body of one of the victims inside the home with multiple stab wounds. The second victim was discovered outside the home and suffered blunt force trauma to the head.
The victims have since been identified as Toni Mamert (his mom) and Eleanora Mortalo (his grandmother).
As of now, homicide detectives are working on the case. Mamert claims that he didn’t mean to hurt his family but that he killed the two because his medications made him act crazy and blackout.
At this time, police are still investigating the incident.
