After being laid off from his full-time employment, the Defendant applied for Public Assistance for his family. By means of false statements and omissions, the Defendant failed to disclose his wife’s employment at the time of his application. The State discovered his false statements and issued a warrant for Fraud Receipt of Unauthorized Public Assistance Claim. The Police arrested the Defendant on Felony Welfare Fraud.
